Not medical advice.

Read once. Train forever.

LiftingLabs is software that computes training prescriptions for healthy adults using published strength-science frameworks. It is not a doctor, a physical therapist, or a chiropractor. It cannot diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. It does not know your blood pressure, your heart history, your medication list, your previous injuries, or whether the sharp thing in your shoulder is a tweak or a torn rotator cuff.

If anything hurts

See a qualified medical professional. Pain that's sharp, shooting, persistent (≥3-5 days), localized to a joint, or worsening week-to-week is a signal for a human clinician — not a software algorithm. We will not tell you to push through those, and you shouldn't either.

If you're new to lifting

We're built for intermediate-and-up lifters who already know how to squat, bench, deadlift, and overhead-press safely. If you don't, get a few sessions with a competent in-person coach first. The math doesn't protect you from bad movement.

If you have any of these

  • Cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or a recent cardiac event.
  • Acute injury (sprain, fracture, surgery within recovery window).
  • Chronic conditions affected by exercise (e.g. autoimmune flares, pregnancy).
  • You're under 18 or over 65 with no medical clearance for resistance training.

Get clearance from a physician before using LiftingLabs (or any structured strength program).

What we will do

  • Detect pain-related keywords in your notes and surface a callout reminding you that this isn't medical advice.
  • Recommend deloads when fatigue patterns warrant them.
  • Cap progressions (TMs, volume) at conservative defaults to bias toward recoverability.
  • Show our work — every number traces to a rule. See Methodology.

What we won't do

  • Diagnose what's wrong with your shoulder.
  • Tell you whether to take ibuprofen.
  • Recommend a supplement, peptide, or PED.
  • Predict whether you should compete on a given day.
  • Replace your physical therapist, sports medicine doc, or registered dietitian.

By using LiftingLabs you acknowledge that you're assuming the risks of resistance training and that you'll consult appropriate professionals for any medical concerns. See our Terms for the legal version.
